Complimentary Colours- Red and Green; Perspective

The colour wheel is one of the main theories in art; not to say that art revolves around it, especially the principle of colour.

The colours opposite each other in the colour wheel are called complimentary colours. Today we focused on red and green- which make a contrast to each other and add a punch to a painting. The kids painted strawberries in a green bowl from still life, to make the most out of this fruit in its season!

Shady Shapes and smooth translucent finger paint!

Extending last lessons, which was adding black. white to lighten/ darken colours, today the children got more creative by adding slices of shades long ripples of the same shapes!!

Forgot to mention... as a filler the kids got their fingers and hands on some wonderful finger paint, thanks to Victoria's and Cooper's mum!! The kids say a big THANK YOU!!
