Street Art Faces

Advertisements, labels, lettering, media, patterns....the city is full of inspiration! The children have also used a picture window to zoom in pictures and details to work out those observation skills.

Distorted self-portrait

Creating distorted self-portraits using oil pastels, soft pastels and pencil colours, while inspiring ourselves by the elongated style of El Greco and the wacky colourful vibes of Picasso. To add the distortion, we have cut the drawing in strips and jumbled up the pieces! Now that is what we call DISTORTED SELF-PORTRAITS!!

Pop Art portraits inspired by Andy Warohl

Wacky, original and unique... The children had the opportunity to turn a set of four self-portraits into more colourful ones, learning that each colour carries a different emotion and observing the effect of colours next to other colours as they clash, constract or blend.
